What is the Food Loss and Waste Standard?

In response to growing concerns over food loss and waste (FLW) within an organization's operations, the world's leading corporations are looking to the Food Loss and Waste Accounting and Reporting Standard (FLW Standard) for a standardized approach to measure and report food waste generation.

Developed over three years by the FLW Protocol, a multi-stakeholder partnership led by World Resources Institute, the FLW Standard is the first global standard that provides requirements and guidance for quantifying and reporting on the weight of food and/or inedible parts removed from the supply chain.
